It's an interesting 3 person storyline that, naturally, reaches its peak 10 minutes before the ending, as is usually the case. The building-up to that moment comes slowly and somewhat unrealistically but since the whole plot revolves around afterlife and ghosts, no wonder.
I was briefly considering the possibility of finding life-after-death themed movie hard to swallow but I genuinely liked it. At least the first half. The second one is drastically weaker and looses its initial grip. You can clearly sense that Eastwood was concerned about his own dying and what might follow so it's of no surprise that there's too much sentimentality involved - especially with the ending itself.
Damon is good here, the British kid is excellent (or should I say kids) and the leading French chick (whomever she might be) is annoying at times so I found myself the least influenced by her storyline.
All in all, this could have been an 8 but since Eastwood gave in to emotions and you just can't shake off the improbability of it all, I'll give it a 7 out of 10.
