Before I get into the film's description and whatnot, I have to make it perfectly clear that this one is a pure 10. That's TEN, in letters.
The film is an HBO television adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy play. It was rewritten for the screen, produced and directed by Tommy Lee Jones who also stars in it, next to Samuel L. Jackson.
It can be described as a battle, of sorts, between good and evil, but without it really touching the mentioned matter. It is a non-triumphal event involving darkness and light, "Black" and "White". But, which is best? It all comes down to perspective.
It is an extremely difficult film with no CGI or excessive elements. Everything is just right down to the note. Ninety minutes of amazing and eloquent dialog inside one room, occasionally followed by subtle, but exceptional background music.
I really don't have any more words for a film like this. It is remarkable, raw and powerful.
Once again, 10 out of 10.
