Unknown lacks a little something...

Okay, I have waited for this one to come out for quite some time now. Needless to say, I was hyped to the moon and back. Now, this is usually the time for me to talk about the disappointment that followed. But, guess what, it didn't happen. It is exactly how I imagined it to be.

The storyline is quite straightforward with no cheap timeline tricks to induce confusion. The story itself produces enough of it as it is with tons of twist and turns. Maybe even too much, if you ask me, since it kind of lost its grip towards the end. I mean, it is good and as I thought it would be, but something extra would have been nice. Not quite sure what, but I would have knew if I saw it.

Now, with me being a huge fucking fan of Liam Neeson, I have to tell you that the cast was awesome, naturally. He brought that whole amazing Taken atmosphere with him and it fit perfectly. No excessive acting, just raw, powerful and subtly macho performance. Diane Kruger was also quite convincing in her role of a kind hearted immigrant.

So, if you're looking for a slow-paced, yet heavy thriller with occasional adrenaline pumped elements of an action flick with one hell of an atmosphere, look no further.

7 out of 10.
