Tell you what, sure, I watched Sex and the City. And yes, I freely admit it, I loved it. I adored Chris Noth on that basic level of "we all have our Mr. Bigs", the ones who got away type of nostalgia that SATC so magically brought together via its happy ending. And it should have stayed like that (minus the movies). And you know what else should have stayed like that? Sarah Jessica Parker's career.
I genuinely liked her as Carrie and heartily disliked her in everything else she did. Famously dubbed as "horse faced" (come on, not nice guys!) she has mistakenly chosen to ruin every credential she dubiously ever had by going from one flop to the next.
There's a fistful of actresses in Hollywood that pulled the aging roles well (think Streep, Close, Lange) but not Parker. If you decide to watch this - and I don't know why you would - your first reaction would be, man, she sure is not aging well.
So, if you're a middle aged woman that this movie is clearly aimed at, you're a workaholic, have two kids, a boring husband and a thrilling boss (who you choose not to have an affair with afterall), then you might find this.......perhaps........just maybe.......vaguely interesting. Being none of the above mentioned, I found it dull to the extreme.
