Alright, another one of those Affleck movies with a sense of some inner/deeper/soulful meaning. Frankly, I just miss the days when he did minor roles for Kevin Smith. I guess that worked because of the small doses.
I made myself watch this a couple of weeks ago, so I can't really remember whether it's based on a true story or not... Nevermind, this kind of shit happens all the time, and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. And if that wasn't enough, the film is extremely slow-paced and utterly boring. How so? Let me enlighten you. First of all, you have to look at Affleck's dull I've-just-shit-my-pants facial expressions for an hour and a half. Second, everybody is wearing fucking suits which is a fabulous presentation of the well known American office-job cliche. Third... I don't know what the third remark would be, but I guess I could tell you again that it's really, utterly, amazingly, unbelievably boring. That'd work.
The only thing that shines a light on this crap is the fact that someone casted Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Costner. However, the light is fading away, and it just wasn't enough.
Hatred all around. 5 out of 10.
