Green Lantern

I like Reynolds, he seems an ok guy who, in this one, also appears to be quite gay as well - the costume is to blame. Having never read the comics, I may not be the right person to review this movie. But, based solely on its screen presence, it's not a bad one.

If you manage to delete all the scenes that include Blake Lively, that is. She alone takes 1 point off this movie as a whole because of her ability to alienate the audience by having her face constantly set up as if she had a serious case of diarrhea. Whoever is willing to mastrubate to her solely on her looks will have a blast. However, if your sexual preferences lie towards DC/Marvel highlights, you will be disappointed.

Certain scenes did not have to be part of this one, nor does the script show itself to be brilliant. It's not. But, it's not a bad one either.

Angela Basset and Tim Robbins are your surprise appearances and Mark Strong's Sinestro as an end credit promises a sequel - which we already knew is going to happen.
Reynolds, himself, is an ok choice for this role. He sure has the body for it and, as I said, he's not a bad actor.

Let's hope that the sequel will see Blake Lively follow Batman's Katie Holmes character. I say, immediate substitution!

6 out of 10.
