Moon (Request review)

Allright, introducing something new to our blog. A requested review of the 2009's movie Moon. The request came from our fan who we will be calling, let's say... Slayer.

So, it's been a while since I've seen the movie, but I'll try my best to be accurate. What I remember distinctly is that I had a real fucking riot inside my head after seeing it. Is it good, is it rubbish? Luckily, I managed to pull myself together and realize what an excellent film it really is.

Sam Rockwell pulled it off like a king. The runtime is about an hour and a half, and you're just watching this guy talking to his computer which is voiced by Kevin Spacey. Not an easy task, I'll have to admit. But, I do remember coming to a certain point where I couldn't watch anymore. I'm pretty certain that I paused it and checked my Facebook account or whatnot.

The story is classic Sci-Fi. Nothing new, zero innovation. What makes it different is the atmosphere surrounding the film. You are pulled into this lonely and unexplored realm. Everything is confusing, nothing is simple or in plain sight. You can only rely on the director's storytelling capabilities to explain the whole mess. And Jones did it superbly. It all fit together perfectly towards the end.

So, not my best work, but it was a really long time ago. Tammie probably watched it too, she can edit. I'd actually appreciate it. All in all, if I were a Sci-Fi fan, I'd probably give it 8 out of 10.
