Dinner for Schmucks - skip this meal.

Where have all the good comedies gone?! I'm not asking for hillarious, stomach-hurting effect that laughter has on you when played out nicely on the small screen. I'm going to be modest here and expect the minimum. You know, a couple of stupid jokes that you can kind of laugh to and that feeling of not wasting your regular hour and a half on complete and utter bullshit. Don't know, call me a dreamer...

Obviously, the only question that arises now is this: how long can Steve Carell's career last after making Despicable Me, Date Night and now this? Steve, honey, you should have signed up for another season of The Office, I just can't see this A-list actor thing going your way anymore (not that I ever did).

See, this is the thing: after an hour and a half, they got only one laugh from me and, to make matters worse, it was the most infantile line in the history of mediocricity - Van Gogh not having an ear to hear what others were saying about his art. Lame? It gets lamer.

Apparently, this was another remake of some French movie that, I sincerely hope, was actually funny. Hollywood has this passion for ruining everything European, be it movies or economy. Anyhow, Paul Rudd is slowly turning into a profitable actor and I can vaguely guess why, the guy has some potential. Carell, on the other hand, with his annoying accents, gets real old real soon.

Avoid watching this. 2 out of 10.
