Source Code - an error has occurred.

I'm gonna start this review with the statement that my disliking towards Jake Gyllenhaal continues. It's strong, firm and I really don't see a reason for it to stop. And, to make things worse - I really wanted to see and enjoy this film.

It had a really promising premise, as well as the story. And with me being sort of a programming enthusiast, I loved the idea of exploiting and bending time's source code. However, the film lost its grip completely in the second half and the chosen ending did not help at all. It was a total buzkill which subsequently and inevitably brought utter disappointment with it.

Now, as far as Gyllenhaal is concerned, the man needs to develop some facial expressions which actually look like emotions. So far, I haven't seen any of those. Also, I think that he should pair up with Kristen Stewart in order to make a film that is completely emotionless. They'd be a perfect match.

Well, in the end, not everything is that dark. Once again, the film is watchable and it does offer a fun and intriguing story. However, it also becomes a drag later on and delivers a cliché ending. But, hey... He's a marine, after all.

6 out of 10.
