Buried is surprisingly good.

Before I started watching this, I told Tamerlane that I'm gonna bitchslap the shit out of the movie, if I had an urge to check my Facebook or WLM in the middle of it. Luckily, I didn't.

First of all, way to go Ryan. He did an amazing job. It's not easy making yourself watchable for ninety minutes. In my movie watching experience, only two actors have achieved this: Tom Hanks in Cast Away and now Reynolds in Buried.

So, basically, the movie is about a guy, Paul Conroy, who's buried in a sealed coffin. That's all he knows, that's all the viewer knows. The story of the movie doesn't revolve strictly around his survival and coping with his surroundings. It also shows the ugly side of the infamous US terrorist negotiation policy, the indifference of people. Whether they're people in general or inside the US administration.

With that being covered, sort of... I also have to give props to the camera. Not the actual device, but you know what I mean. The director managed to cover every possible angle of the coffin, thus presenting Reynolds horror, determination, confusion in an extraordinary fashion.

That's pretty much it. Not much to add, except that the ending is by far the best part of the entire movie. You'll just have to watch.

So, since I'm in a good mood, and the fact that the ending was so intense, I'm gonna go ahead and give this one 7 out of 10.
