Alright, finally a good movie from M. Night. Shayamanalanahan. I'll try to be brief with this one. Not because it's bad, but because it doesn't represent anything groundbreaking. It pulls you in, keeps you there and when it's finished - it's just like you haven't watched it in the first place.
If we neglect the fact that I realized who the "killer" was after the first killing, the movie did a pretty good job keeping me on my toes. It never bored me. The scene transitions were great and the storytelling did quite a good job pulling you in and keeping you wanting more. The camera was pretty cool too, but how hard can it be? I mean, I can't see how anyone would suck at filming five people in an elevator. It had a few cliche moments, but that's pretty understandable for a movie like this. Had a few "Scream boo" moments as well, but just to give the already existing tension a boost. The finish was quite alright, even with the fact that it was spiced up with a little God-in-the-sky talk. And I really fucking hate those.
Oh, oh, I have to applaud the casting. The choice was excellent. Everyone did an awesome job.
Anyway, it was nice to finally see a Shamanalayanahan movie worth watching. All in all, it's an excellent time killer. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.
